A Downsizer’s Dream
Having recently retired, Nicky & Graham Stevens had a desire to enjoy their new-found freedom and ended up spending more and more time out of the country.
With the world as their oyster, they were spending most of the year in Europe at their adored Spanish retreat; and less time at their empty nest in Sompting.
Although they enjoyed their time in Spain, the maintenance that greeted them on their return to their 4 bedroom house became too much weight to bear and so they made the decision to put their home on the market with Jacobs Steel.
Within a few months they had an acceptable offer on the table and became more serious about their search for a new bolthole. When looking for their next home, they knew that somewhere that required little upkeep was one of their top priorities. And so, with a good understanding of what they wanted, Jacobs Steel introduced them to Sunbeam.
With fully managed communal areas, plenty of living space and a private balcony where they could enjoy the magnificent view; in addition to the proximity to the beach and local amenities, Nicky & Graham knew that this would be somewhere they could really enjoy their retirement.
They moved in with family for a short while after selling their house so that they could wait for their new home to be completed; and recently they turned the key to their new front door for the very first time.
They absolutely adore living at Sunbeam and love their apartment, both for the space and the wonderful view of the sea… so much so in fact that they haven’t even booked their usual Winter escape to Spain so that they can spend more time in their new home! And, even though they were sad to leave their large house, they say it’s the best decision they’ve ever made.

We were sure that we had made the right decision when we chose to move to Sunbeam but, even so, you are always a bit apprehensive and unsure until you actually move in. We really need not have worried.
