Raising Funds for Coastal West Sussex Mind

On Saturday 12th October 2019, in celebration of our 35th birthday, we held our first ever charity ball.

With World Mental Health Day in the same week, it seemed obvious that our chosen charity should be a local mental health charity. Coastal West Sussex Mind is an independent charity based in West Sussex, driven by the needs and experiences of people with a mental health problem.

An event that took almost 9 months to plan, Jacobs Steel’s Marketing Manager, Jayde Pope and Managing Directors Matt Jacobs & Pat Barton welcomed 150 guests to our venue, Worthing Dome, and filled their evening with a delicious 3-course meal, games, raffle and charity auction. Murdoch’s Crazy Eyes filled the dance floor from the moment they started playing and all of our guests boogied away to their amazing live music.

Following an incredible evening of fine dining, fun games and lots of laughs from our host, comedian Aaron James; and thanks to your kindness and generosity, we raised a staggering £9,292; 100% of which will go to Coastal West Sussex Mind.
