Following the recent promotion of Ollie Whiting to Lettings Director, and off the back of the incredible success our Brighton & Hove sales team have had since establishing the office in 2020, we’re pleased to have expanded our premises in Portland Road to offer a dedicated Brighton and Hove lettings department. As such, we’re very excited to welcome the addition of Patrick Miller to our lettings team. Patrick is a distinguished property professional with extensive global experience, and he will be spearheading our lettings operations from our newly expanded office in the Brighton & Hove market. We have been assisting landlords through letting and property management across Brighton and Hove from our Worthing office for over 6 years, and it’s great to now have a local team to support them too.
Patrick joins Jacobs Steel after a successful 10-year career in the Sydney, Australia real estate market. His wealth of experience and innovative perspectives will be invaluable assets to our team. A dynamic individual, devoted husband, and father of two, Patrick has relocated to Hove to be closer to his family, and we are delighted that he has chosen Jacobs Steel Lettings as his new professional home.
“Sydney, being the ‘default’ capital of Australia, is the economic and power center of the country. Approximately 95% of Australian landlords entrust property management to their agents,” Patrick explains. “In contrast, the UK market sees a more relaxed approach, with many landlords opting to manage their properties independently. With the Renters Rights Bill on the horizon, I aim to showcase the benefits and security of utilising an agent.”
Patrick’s experience in the competitive Sydney market has shaped his proactive approach. “While I don’t intend to replicate the high-pressure Sydney mentality in Brighton & Hove,” he says, “I am committed to educating and informing landlords to the best of my ability. My goal is to ensure that our clients are well-equipped to navigate the evolving lettings landscape and provide them with above average returns.”
