1984

Jacobs Steel was founded

Jacobs Steel was founded by Ashley Jacobs & Derek Steel with an office in Broadwater, Worthing.

1985

Community Champions

By this point, we were already community champions; taking part in major community events and sponsoring local schools & charities.

1987

Third Office

After the success of our first two branches, we expanded into Lancing and opened our 3rd office.

1992

Fourth Office

A new venture as we open our 4th office in Shoreham-by-Sea.

2000

First Rebrand

Our first rebrand went ahead.

2004

Worthing Town Centre Office

On our 20th birthday, our Worthing Town Centre office was opened.

2006

Findon Valley Office

Our Findon Valley office opened.

2018

Leadership Change

Matt Jacobs & Pat Barton were made Managing Directors to enable Ashley & Derek to move into retirement.

2018

Lettings Launched

We Launched our lettings department, and launched our New Homes and Commercial departments.

2018

Largest Rebrand

Under Pat & Matt's leadership, we underwent the largest, most exciting rebrand yet.

2019

JS Signature Brand

The JS Signature brand was born and has been very much welcomed by our premier clients.

2020

Hove Office

We launched our new office in Hove; becoming the first independent agent to have offices spanning from Worthing to Brighton.

2023

Commercial Office

We opened our commercial office covering all of Sussex, expanding our reach into the commercial property market.

2024

Celebrating 40 Years

We are proud to celebrate our 40th year in business, reflecting on decades of success and growth.
