Why I became a Commercial Agent:
I started my property journey when I was 16, in 1997 and remember trawling through Brighton with a handful of CVs and walked into an estate agency, had an interview on the spot and got the job. Little did I know, it was for commercial property, of which I knew nothing about! 27 Years later and I am proud to say that I am now the Commercial Manager here at Jacobs Steel. I love property and am so passionate about it but also, providing the right advice as there are so many pitfalls. My role at Jacobs Steel is to manage the commercial department and deal with every type of commercial property.
What I love to do:
I love everything sport related and was lucky enough to play at a high level. Funnily enough, a sporting background has run throughout my family and in fact my great great grandfathers were the first ever doubles to win Wimbledon, and then went on to win Olympic gold. My surname is on the Wimbledon gates, which is quite something! I love to run and take part in obstacle courses / mud runs, which is great fun. I also love the theatre and stage shows, so much that I had a lead role in the Wedding Singer and performed to thousands of people.
One tip you would give a buyer or seller:
The right advice is key so this would be such an important part of the process. Trust is also extremely important, and I believe in working as a team with my vendor, or even the purchaser therefore, clarity and openness are paramount.
